DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to be able to invite you to the third of our LGcomms East Midlands regional network meetings\, held in partnership with East Midlands Councils. \nFollowing our successful sessions in Nottingham and in Loughborough\, the next meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 June at Newark and Sherwood District Council’s offices at Castle House\, Great North Road\, Newark. \nOur LGcomms regional networks\, developed by LGcomms along with the Local Government Association\, provide an important forum for members to share issues\, best practice and campaigns\, and hear briefings from key partners. They’re also an important opportunity to focus on communications challenges which are unique to regions and network with colleagues. \nWe’re now in the process of drawing up the agenda for the meeting\, and would like to include agenda items from your own council or organisation. While key topics are likely to include managing communications in time of change; with a focus on political shifts as well as LGR\, we welcome contributions and fresh ideas from all attendees. They are also an important opportunity to focus on communications challenges which are unique to regions. \nThe first EoE network will feature contributions from Transport East on their current agenda\, and also the LGA\, who will be highlighting their ‘Make A Difference’ recruitment Campaign. \nTHE AGENDA \nWe would also love to include agenda items from your own council or organisation.
