DESCRIPTION:As promised\, here are more details of the first LGcomms East Midlands’ region network meeting on Thursday 19 September in Nottingham. \nView the agenda \nWe have some top contributors from organisations including the Local Government Association\, Orlo\, the East Midlands Combined Authority\, Baker Baird and East Midlands Councils. \nWe will be covering some topical and meaty themes\, including devolution\, recruitment\, the new Government\, and the future of local media. \nLGcomms\, along with the Local Government Association (LGA)\, has been supporting the creation and development of regional networks\, and this is our latest one. The aim is to focus on communications challenges unique to our regions while also offering a friendly and supportive forum for sharing issues\, best practice\, campaign ideas and partner briefings. \nThe venue will be The Boardroom\, Dryden Enterprise Centre\, Nottingham Trent University\, Dryden St\, Nottingham NG1 4FQ\, from 10am to 1pm. SUMMARY:LGcomms East of England regional network meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be able to invite you\, as a valued Member\, to the first LGcomms East of England regional network meeting. \nLGcomms\, along with the Local Government Association\, has been supporting the creation and development of networks across England and Scotland and this is the latest to be established. \nThe Networks provide an important forum for sharing issues\, best practice\, campaigns and briefings from key partners. They are also an important opportunity to focus on communications challenges which are unique to regions. \nThe first EoE network will feature contributions from Transport East on their current agenda\, and also the LGA\, who will be highlighting their ‘Make A Difference’ recruitment Campaign. \nTHE AGENDA \nWe would also love to include agenda items from your own council or organisation. If you would like to have an item on the agenda\, please email Mark Miller or Caroline Kennedy-Jones copying in hello@lgcomms.org.uk \nThe venue for the first meeting will be Ipswich Borough Council’s offices at Grafton House\, 15-17 Russell Road\, Ipswich IP1 2DE\, from 10am to 1pm.  IBC is a short 5 min walk from the Railway station with ample public parking available nearby. A sandwich lunch will be provided. \nWe encourage in-person attendance at LGcomms Network meetings\, but a hybrid option will be available.
