In an uncertain world, the Government has been understandably distracted by changing geopolitics, climate change and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, it has a domestic agenda to fulfil in an increasingly polarised political landscape and growing pressures on the public purse.
How do we ensure the local state’s case is heard over the ‘noise’ of these massive issues? How do we make ourselves relevant to Government agendas, and how do we fight for the future of town and city halls at a time of extreme national challenge?
This session will explore how we can continue to argue the case for the local in the context of poly-crisis and fast-moving technological change.
