Academy 2020 – be part of it!

This year’s LGcomms academy is going online with a three day event from Tuesday 24 November to Thursday 26 November. Themed Science, Strategy and Standards, this year’s academy will cover the big issues of the year and provide practical training for communications professionals at all career levels.

Common comms – coming together during Covid

Alix Macfarlane, Andy Allsopp, Ben Knowles and Danni Clayton represented LGcomms on a panel for the House of Commons’ first virtual Comms Academy with the Communications Network, which connects practitioners working in the House of Commons; House of Lords; bicameral teams and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Our LGcomms webinar, hosted with Westco, on the lessons learned from dealing with the coronavirus pandemic is now available to listen to. The session explored lessons learnt so far and shone a light on best practice. There was also a chance to look ahead at the role comms can play in supporting recovery plans.
