Consider school holidays and festival periods when promoting your vacancy. If you are advertising the role internally, make sure you reach those staff who may be on maternity/parental leave.

Blind sift
Implement blind recruitment techniques, such as removing names and personal information from initial application reviews. This helps remove any bias – unconscious or otherwise and is fairer. Focus on skills and qualifications rather than personal details.
