LGcomms is delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with social media management experts Orlo.
Having first worked together during the 2023 LGcomms Academy in Sheffield, LGcomms and Orlo are now making their partnership official, with exciting collaboration on events and learning opportunities over the next year.
Phil Evans, Managing Director of Orlo UK, said: “Over the last 10 years, Orlo has partnered over 100 local authorities, most of whom are LGcomms members, to increase engagement, improve customer service, provide actionable citizen intelligence and ultimately build trust with residents.
“We’re delighted to be joining forces with LGcomms to strengthen our relationship with more local authority comms professionals and look forward to using our combined experiences to support members and bring exciting developments to the sector.”
Orlo will again be present at the popular LGcomms Academy in Wigan on October 10th and 11th, and LGcomms will be supporting the upcoming Orlo tour in Glasgow, Manchester and London, as well as Orlo’s Big Social event later this year in Birmingham.
LGcomms National Secretary Michael Stringer, who also sits on Orlo’s Advisory Board, said: “This is great news for public sector comms professionals as LGcomms brings onboard another key partner to help us develop the sector.
“Orlo are well known for delivering a great events programme, and are constantly looking to improve their offer to comms teams up and down the country, with a focus on supporting the public sector.

LGcomms is a national body made up of an association of organisations working together to raise the standard of communications in the public sector.
